My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011

Blogging is growing so fast and strong on the web. From personal portfolios to galleries of food, travel, photography, including breaking news, it certainly changed the online community.

As the power of a blogger broadens, blogging will continue to emerge and influence the public, as more people find accessible information through the web and blogosphere.

The Emerging Influential Blogs Writing Project is an advocacy with the aim to recognize emerging blogs who are gaining great impact on the web.

On its 5th year, it's expected to continue to grow, drawing continued support from the previous awardees and new participants. For the second time, will be joining Influential Blogger's writing project.

Here are my partial nominees for this year's Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs:

To learn new tech gadgets and electronics is just one reason why I read technology sites. Unbox.ph is one of those few worthy tech blogs that caught my interest, not only it features the latest news on gadgets, games, wheels and style, but also highlights awesome stuff out of the box for guys. A good read, indeed.

I feel delighted when reading food blogs, especially if the feature article is about gourmet dishes and desserts. So happy I found Tales from the Tummy, an ideal place to read about, enjoy and find culinary delights in the Metro. Tummy Tales really fits one's tummy needs.

Are you folks who are into gadgets like me? Click Kelvin keeps me updated on the latest technology news including gadgets, social media trends and gaming front.

Everyone's life revolves around trying to understand what is the meaning of life. What about a blogger's? Blogger Manila is an excellent source of information about social media, blogging and online engagements.

I found The Tummy Traveler while blog hopping, this travel and food blog captured my attention at the first sight because it showcases the Philippines' best dishes and travel destinations. Glad that I ended up discovering this site promoting our country's tourism.

I only have five blogs listed and still looking to fill in the other slots. If you have a site or a friend's blog that you think influential, drop suggestions via the comment section.

I love checking out different food journals online, as much as I love to eat awesome food. I guess that's why I am supporting Certified Foodies, a food blog wherein the authors shares their innate passion for food, at the same time with the intent to encourage readers to cook and love their kitchen. Woot, cravin'!

Great adventures plus food trips are just two of the things I enjoy when travelling out of town. But before going out to ramble, I see to it that I've info about the place I'm going ashore to. Thanks buddy for suggesting Sleek in the City. I think this sleek blog will serve as my reference when looking for adventures beyond compare and the best food trips in Manila.

For the love of country and to help promote our remarkable history including our rich cultural heritage, RizalPark.org deserves my vote. I would absolutely recommend this site.

I stumbled upon this site in an attempt to discover something related to food, as in Pepperrific, but I was surprised by the fact that it's actually a blog of a single mom. It's not everyone's cup of tea - especially me, I usually skip right over the things I can't relate to - but it's definitely worth a read. For sure, you'll get inspired and understand a single mom's point of view.

What's the latest? I personally find Blog-ph.com as one of the best blogs to keep myself up to date with news of all sorts. This site features the most current info about the Philippine music, lifestyle, fashion, celebrities, movies, food, travel, technology as well as blogger events.

  1. Hi John Paul!

Thank you very much for your vote of confidence. I didn't think you would be voting this early and including BloggerManila.com at that! We just met in person at the blogger conference the other day. :)

You have a really thought out list; good choices. I'm considering them for my list as well. :P

  2. Hi, John Paul!

I'm here campaigning for our food blog, CertifiedFoodies.com. I know you already have Richard's Tales from The Tummy on your list (his blog, we also follow :)), but I do hope you still have one more room for a blog of the same niche.
Certified Foodies is a food blog I share with my bro, Ken. We admit that we used to only order the usual and familiar 'cause we didn't want to waste money. But, because of our food blog, we started to enjoy trying new food items on menus of various restaurants. And it's so much fun to share it with my best food trip buddy, my sibling. We're glad that our adventures encourage others to go out and try those new restaurants as well.

The food blog was initially started in May 2010 to hopefully encourage others to go back to their kitchen and cook. So, we share recipes from time to time of dishes that may seem a li'l complicated to prepare at home, but are in fact easy to whip up.

Lastly, my bro Ken will start his journey to being a chef by July. So, he'll be sharing his learnings on the blog, too. :)

Good luck in completing your list. And, no, this isn't a copy-paste campaign speech. Hehehehe. :P
