While famed smartphones like the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 are packed with great photography features, Nikon still convincing tech enthusiasts with its new 1 J5 mirrorless camera.
The Nikon J5, introduced just recently as part of its Nikon 1 series, is a compact yet powerful shooter with a gorgeous 20.8 megapixel VFI CMOS sensor, an ISO that ranges from 1,600 up to 12,800 with XP5A image processor, NFC support and a WiFi connectivity feature.
As the Sony RX100 IV, the J5 is as well perfect for selfies in which the 3-inch high-resolution LCD can be tilt up to 180 degrees vertically. Aside from a crisper, colorful result in photos, the Nikon J5 can record an interesting 1080p video at 30/60fps and a 120fps selection but limited to just 720p format. In addition, the J5 can capture 4K movies at 15 frames per second, not bad for an entry-level mirrorless compact.
Nikon 1 J5 is now available in the United States at a starting price of $500.
