The ZenFone 2 is a budget smartphone with a design that kinda look like the LG’s but in a tough plastic shell. It has a 5.5-inch touch display at 1080 resolution which is good for gaming, streaming music and recording videos.
Like the LG G4 smartphone, the ZenFone 2 also sports a mounted volume buttons on the device’s back but without the power switch placed in-between, instead it’s at the top of the phone itself and along with the speaker fixed below. But if you see it hard to make the smartphone power–on, it does offer a handy tricks like the tap-to-wake and or tap-to-sleep gestures, which is a pretty interesting software added feature. Besides the gestures, you can as well set up to open or launch an app by letting you draw letters on the screen, let’s say Z which opens up either your favorite social media or photo sharing app like the Instagram.
ZenFone 2 sports a 13-megapixel main camera which can shoot awesome, sharp photos in daylight, not to mention its low-light mode feature which is great for night time shots. It can snap fast but didn’t I say it also has 18 camera modes useful for a good HDR and or Super Resolution images at 13-megapixel up to 52-megapixel photo resolution?
With its attractive specifications, the ZenFone 2 can stand on its own, from multi-tasking, playing heavy graphics game apps, to streaming movies and browsing the web is a breeze and without issues or any lag we used to experience in a premium Android smartphone. The ZenFone 2 is powered by Intel’s processor with RAM of up to 4GB and runs the Asus’ ZenUI rooted over an Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system.

While it comes in a ZenUI skin with various animations for transition and which has a pretty good set of advanced features as well as built-in, stock useful applications, you can customized the smartphone with a new skin appearance and or with some useful Google apps for personal look and experience.
When it comes to battery capacity, the Asus ZenFone 2 supports fast charging from empty to 100 percent in about 1 ½ hours which can make it about a day of regular use.
With a $200 pleasing price for the standard version and $300 for its counterpart model, at least with the phone’s interesting features bundled with faster, reliable Intel processor and an exquisite performance, the Asus ZenFone 2 can be a great Android smartphone competitor, aside from it’s clever enough, it costs half compared to the premium Galaxy S6 and LG G4.
